What's our story?
Middle schooler with a dream!
Eversince I can remember, I’ve always wanted to help people. Meeting my friend Ollie, really made me think about ways to putting my thoughts into action.
It was a talk with my vice principal at school about how to make my dream a reality, she said ” why don’t you start your own nonprofit?” So, at the age of 12, with some help from my parents, I filed the paperwork, chose the name and help design the logo for Hermes Wings!
A friendship and a longing to help. Around the age of 12 Townsend and Ollie became fast friends; their friendship grew as they played games, shared stories and walked while the other wheeled through hallways. Townsend, founder of Hermes Wings, wanted to help Ollie and other kids like him to develop greater freedom of mobility. After attempts to raise money for robotic arm, he decided to start his own charity to help kids. Hermes Wings is born!
